Matthew K. Frank, MS, CCC-SLP joined the Ear, Nose, and Throat Center of Utah in 2015. He is a certified Speech-Language Pathologist. He graduated from Brigham Young University with degree work in Communication Disorders which included an internship at the University of Utah Voice Disorders Center. He completed his clinical fellowship year in Great Falls, Montana where he worked primarily with cognitive deficits and dysphagia in transitional and extended care settings. He subsequently moved with his family to the Tri-Cities area of Washington state. During this period, he provided services in rehabilitation and outpatient settings and focused much of his professional career on helping patients with voice disorders and dysarthria.

Matthew is a member of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association. He has formal voice assessment training that includes videolaryngostroboscopy and interpretation workshop experience at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee. His workshop experience at Mayo Clinic in Arizona includes training in TEP Prosthesis Voice Restoration along with assistant teaching of Manual Circumlaryngeal Massage and Laryngeal Reposturing techniques. He also holds specialized training in Lee Silverman Voice Treatment® from certification coursework completed in Minneapolis, Minnesota. This certification allows him to provide treatment for voice difficulty associated with Parkinson's disease and other neurological disorders. As part of his ongoing commitment to education, he has provided training for new clinicians of various experience levels. Matthew's clinical interests include assessment and treatment for hyperfunctional voice disorders such as Muscle Tension Dysphonia, dysphagia and dysarthria for the head and neck cancer population, neurologically based dysarthria, cognitive deficits, and the aphasias.
